Premier Christy Clark issued the following statement on the passing of former Powell River-Sunshine Coast MLA Harold Long.

The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a float plane crash near Stuart Island on May 21, 2013.

The government of B.C., in partnership with the Aboriginal Housing Management Association (AHMA), has transferred ownership and management of 428 properties in rural communities throughout the B.C. mainland to three non-profit Aboriginal housing providers.

Government has signed a Labour Market Partnership agreement with Community Futures Alberni-Clayoquot to support Venture Connection.

Businesses in Sechelt and Gibsons that want to learn about returning to PST can take part in seminars held on Monday, March 11, 2013. Businesses that are required to collect PST must register by April 1, 2013.

Government has selected three B.C. organizations and their partner agencies to deliver the BladeRunners program, beginning April 1, so at-risk youth can continue to access the supports they need to gain full-time employment in a range of industries through this highly successful program.
