Recreational users are advised that the Bobtail Lake Recreation Site will be temporarily closed due to site reconstruction and gravel hauling between Monday, Aug. 8 and Monday, Aug. 15, 2011.
There will be disruptions within the recreation site throughout the month of August with the majority of work being conducted Monday to Friday with less disruption on the weekends. The site will remain open to the public except for Aug. 8-15 when it will be fully closed.
Work will include construction of a new boat launch, gravelling, proper drainage and brushing of in-site roads and new picnic tables and outhouses.
The Bobtail Lake Recreation Site is located approximately 45 kilometres west of Prince George and about the same distance southeast of Vanderhoof. It is a popular year-round destination for family camping and fishing.
