Travellers are advised that the Ashnola Forest Service Road in the Keremeos area will be closed at 18.7 kilometres and 32.9 kilometres due to the installation of two stream crossings from Wednesday, Sept. 7 through Friday, Oct. 14, 2011.
The work will include the removal of two existing wooden culverts and replacement with a larger steel pipe and concrete-slab structure to improve public safety.
One recreation trail on Easygoing Creek will not be accessible during the closure.
British Columbia's 55,000-km network of Forest Service roads is bigger than the provincial highway system.
