Travellers are advised the East Canoe Forest Service Road located in the Kinbasket Reservoir area will be temporarily closed at 12 and 27 kilometres from Saturday, Nov. 12 to Saturday, Nov. 26, 2011.
This closure is to allow for the replacement of two bridge decks at the above mentioned sites.
Note that there are no alternative routes to access the area past these sites during the closure.
Three recreation sites, the Yellowjacket Recreation Site, the Griffin Sawmill Recreation Site, and the Horse Creek Recreation Site - as well as the Valemount Marina - will be inaccessible during this time.
The East Canoe Forest Service Road is part of British Columbia's 55,000-kilometre Forest Service road network that provides access to British Columbia's backcountry.
