Premier Christy Clark has issued this statement following the recent bombings in Mumbai:

"I join with all British Columbians in condemning the bombing attacks in Mumbai that killed 21 and injured hundreds.

"This was a co-ordinated attack of senseless violence, and I know many in British Columbia's South Asian community are watching with great concern for family and friends who live in India.

"As a province and a country, we embrace cultural diversity and peaceful political discourse. These actions do not represent that tradition.

"We have a long and strong relationship with India - cultural and economic - and British Columbia will continue to strengthen those ties."
