The BC Coroners Service has announced that the inquest into the death of Mr. Chul Lee, Mr. Kwang Cha and Mr. Chungjic Koh has been postponed.

The inquest was scheduled to begin on June 25, 2012, in Invermere. Unfortunately, the unforeseen illness of one of the counsel involved has necessitated the postponement.

The inquest arises out of a motor vehicle incident which occurred on Jan. 19, 2011. Mr. Lee was driving a vehicle carrying Mr. Cha and Mr. Koh. The vehicle was southbound on Highway 95 north of Brisco when it was struck on two occasions by two separate trucks.

No new date has yet been set for the inquest. An announcement will be made as soon as the new date is determined.

An inquest is a formal process that allows for public presentation of evidence relating to a death.
