The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died as a result of a motor vehicle incident near Chetwynd on July 26, 2012.
She was Cheryl Bowman, age 42, of Chetwynd.
Ms. Bowman was driving a 2003 Cadillac sedan north on Highway 97 just south of Chetwynd when her vehicle hit a southbound 2011 Ford 150 crew cab truck head on. Ms. Bowman was pronounced dead at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Ms. Bowman has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
