The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a couple who died in a motor vehicle incident near Spence's Bridge on Aug. 12, 2012.

The deceased are Lindsay Anne Muriel Brodie, aged 27, and her husband Eric Steven Lowerison, aged 33, both of Vancouver.

The couple were driving northbound on the TransCanada Highway when their vehicle was involved in a head-on collision with an SUV about six kilometres north of Spence's Bridge.

The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this incident.

The families of Ms. Brodie and Mr. Lowerison have been notified of their deaths. On behalf of the families, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends of both.
