The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after being involved in a motor vehicle incident near Prince George on Sept. 1, 2012.
The man was Robert James Leblanc aged 58, from Bear Lake.
Mr. Leblanc was travelling southbound along Highway 97 when his car was involved in a head-on collision with an oncoming vehicle about 37 km north of Prince George.
Despite resuscitation efforts, Mr. Leblanc was confirmed deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services are continuing to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Leblanc has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Leblanc.
