The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of two persons who died after a motor vehicle incident in Peachland on Oct. 18, 2012.

They were Michael Grant Baxter, aged 20, of Peachland, and Delanie Marie Smith, aged 17, of West Kelowna.

Mr. Baxter and Miss Smith were two of four occupants of a pickup truck that was involved in a single-vehicle crash on a gravel road in Peachland in the late evening hours of Oct. 18, 2012.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate these deaths.

The families of both Mr. Baxter and Miss Smith have been notified of their deaths. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
