The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motor-vehicle incident in Kamloops.

He was Myles Dallas Wolfe, aged 22, of Kamloops.

Mr. Wolfe was the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle travelling eastbound on the TransCanada Highway near the Columbia Street overpass in Kamloops at about 7:15 a.m. on Oct. 23, 2012. Control of the vehicle was lost, and it went over a 10-metre embankment.

Mr. Wolfe was critically injured in the crash and taken by ambulance to Royal Inland Hospital in Kamloops. He did not recover from his injuries, however, and died late on Oct. 26, 2012

The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this incident.

The family of Mr. Wolfe has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Wolfe.
