The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of man who died after being involved in a cycling accident in Nanaimo on Nov. 16, 2012.
The man is Jeffrey Ryan Clark, aged 27, from Nanaimo.
Mr. Clark was cycling along Wall Street in Nanaimo when he was involved in a collision with a motor vehicle. Mr. Clark was not wearing a helmet at the time of the accident and sustained severe head injuries.
Mr. Clark was transported to hospital from the scene of the accident but succumbed to his injuries the following day.
The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Clark has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
