The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after being struck by a vehicle in Kamloops on Nov. 21, 2012.

She was Valerie Brook, aged 67, of Kamloops.

Ms. Brook was crossing Victoria Street in Kamloops at the intersection with 6th Avenue when she was struck by a vehicle. She was taken by ambulance to Royal Inland Hospital but died from her injuries shortly afterwards.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Brook has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
