The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died in a motor vehicle incident south of Bear Lake on Nov. 22, 2012.
He was Fredrick Nathan Gouschuk, aged 46, of Prince George.
Mr. Gouschuk was the driver of a five-ton utility truck that collided with a tractor-trailer unit at the intersection of Highway 97 and the Hart Sawmill Road at about 5:35 p.m. on Nov. 22.
This area, which is about 72 kilometres north of Prince George and eight kilometres south of Bear Lake, was at the time experiencing heavy snow that led to virtual white-out conditions.
Mr. Gouschuk was pronounced dead at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service, RCMP traffic services and WorkSafeBC continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Gouschuk has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
