The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identities of a man and woman who were found deceased inside a home at Moberly Lake near Chetwynd on Nov. 23, 2012.
They are Adina Rose Napoleon, aged 49, and Eugene Sochan, aged 52, both of Moberly Lake.
The cause of death in both cases was a gunshot wound. Investigation by the Coroners Service and the RCMP has concluded that Mr. Sochan fired one shot, which proved fatal to Ms. Napoleon, and then killed himself. Alcohol and drugs appear to have been a factor in this incident.
The Coroners Service investigation is continuing. The RCMP has concluded their investigation into the deaths and is now assisting the Coroners Service as needed.
The families of Ms. Napoleon and Mr. Sochan have been notified of their deaths. On behalf of family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
