The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a motor vehicle incident near Invermere on Dec. 12, 2012.
She was Shirley Dian Hudson, aged 63, of Radium Hot Springs.
Ms. Hudson was the driver of a southbound pickup truck that was in a collision with a northbound pickup truck on Highway 93/95 about three kilometres north of Invermere at about 9 a.m. on Dec. 12. Ms. Hudson was transported by ambulance to hospital but succumbed to her injuries.
The Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death. Road conditions were noted to be poor at the time.
The family of Ms. Hudson has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
