The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a motor vehicle incident in Abbotsford on Dec. 15, 2012.

She is Elsie Ethel Eileen McAdam, aged 82, of Hope.

Ms. McAdam was the driver and sole occupant of a car which was involved in a two-vehicle collision on Highway 1 near the Bradner rest stop about 10:30 a.m. on Dec. 15. Paramedics attended the scene of the crash, but Ms. McAdam was not able to be resuscitated.

The BC Coroners Service and Fraser Valley RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. McAdam has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
