The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of man who died aboard a boat in Half Moon Bay on Dec. 30, 2012.
The man was Rodrick Boggs, aged 58, from West Vancouver.
Mr. Boggs and his partner were aboard a boat, situated in a small boathouse at a marina in Half Moon Bay, with the engine running when they were apparently overcome by exhaust fumes.
The owner of the boatyard discovered Mr. Boggs and his partner unresponsive aboard the boat and alerted emergency personnel. Mr. Boggs was confirmed deceased at the scene and his partner was transported to Vancouver General Hospital for treatment.
The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate the death of Mr. Boggs.
The family of Mr. Boggs has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
