The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as a result of a motor vehicle incident in Prince George on Dec. 31, 2012.

The man is Framiel Schreiber Sanchez, aged 36, from Prince George.

Mr. Schreiber Sanchez was driving southbound at the 10,000 block of Highway 97 when the vehicle in which he was travelling crossed the centre line and collided with oncoming traffic.

Mr. Schreiber Sanchez was transported from the scene of the incident to the University Hospital of Northern BC but was unable to recover from his injuries.

The Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Schreiber Sanchez has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Schreiber Sanchez.
