The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of man who died in hospital on Dec. 25, 2012 in Prince George.

The man is Paul Gerard Judge, aged 47, from Prince George.

Mr. Judge was remanded into custody at the Prince George Regional Correctional Centre on Dec. 20 where he sustained an injury.

Mr. Judge was transported to University Hospital of Northern BC for treatment where he died as a result of his injury on Dec. 25, 2012.

Foul play is not suspected. The Coroners Service continues to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Judge has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.

The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Judge.
