The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as a result of a motor vehicle incident that occurred near Mackenzie on Jan. 7, 2013.
The man is John Darrell McIntosh, aged 43, from Penticton.
Mr. McIntosh was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck travelling northbound up the Finlay Service Rd. near Mackenzie when he was involved in a collision with a logging truck at a single-lane bridge.
Industrial first aid workers and emergency personnel attended the scene of the incident and confirmed Mr. McIntosh deceased.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. McIntosh has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
