The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died in an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash near Sooke on Jan. 12, 2013.
She was Diane Louise Clark, aged 58, from Sooke.
Ms. Clark was driving a quad ATV on a narrow track in the Otter Point area just west of Sooke on the evening of Jan. 12, 2013. She was wearing a motorcycle helmet and goggles. The weather was cold and the ground frozen hard along the trail.
She had made plans to meet with a friend and, when she did not arrive, the friend checked the trail and found that the ATV had left the trail and overturned. The friend immediately called 911. Ms. Clark was confirmed deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service continues to investigate this death.
The family of Ms. Clark has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
