The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who was found deceased in the Fairmont Hot Springs area on Jan. 24, 2013.

She was Cheyenne Michelle Mason-Lalonde, aged 20, a resident of Fairmont Hot Springs.

Ms. Mason-Lalonde was found by a friend late in the evening of Jan. 24, 2013, near a golf course in Fairmont Hot Springs. She had been reported missing to the local RCMP detachment a few hours earlier. She was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death. Foul play has now been ruled out.

The family of Ms. Mason-Lalonde has been notified of her death. On behalf of the family, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
