The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died after a motor vehicle incident west of Golden on Feb. 23, 2013.br />He was Huseyin Tas, aged 38, of Richmond.

Mr. Tas was a passenger in a delivery van, which was involved in a three-vehicle collision on Highway 1 in the Beaver Valley area of Glacier National Park about 60 kilometres west of Golden at about 12:30 p.m. on Feb. 23. The driver of the van was transported to hospital in Kelowna with serious injuries.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Tas has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
