The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a female who died following a motor vehicle incident near Quesnel on March 15, 2013.

She was Leanne Marie Burchill, aged 20, of Prince George.

Ms. Burchill was the front-seat passenger in a pickup truck which was involved in a head-on collision with another pickup truck on Highway 97 about 10 kilometres north of Quesnel near the turnoff to 10-Mile Lake at about 9:15 a.m. on March 15. Ms. Burchill was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Burchill has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
