The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a dirt-biking incident near Nanoose Bay on March 17, 2013.

He was Mark Lionel John Arsenault, aged 55, from Nanaimo.

Mr. Arsenault was riding a dirt bike on a logging road near Nanoose Bay about 11 a.m. on March 17 when he lost control of the bike and crashed. He was found by friends with whom he was riding, but he was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Arsenault has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
