The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died in a motor vehicle incident near Duncan on March 15, 2013.

She was Loretta Angela Page, aged 56, of Westholme, near Duncan.

Ms. Page was driving northbound on Highway 1 during the noon hour of March 15 when, at the intersection with Somenos Road, she was involved in a collision with a tractor-trailer unit. Ms. Page was taken to Cowichan District Hospital and then to Victoria General Hospital, but she died later that day from injuries suffered in the crash.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. Page has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
