The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after a motor vehicle incident south of Kamloops on April 7, 2013.

She was Alicia Renee McDonnell, aged 35, of Kamloops.

Ms. McDonnell was the front-seat passenger in a pickup truck which was involved in a head-on collision with another pickup truck on Highway 5A in the Knutsford area about five kilometres south of Kamloops at about 9:40 a.m. on April 7. She was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Ms. McDonnell has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
