The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died while working on a log-sorting operation on West Thurlow Island on April 8, 2013.
The man is Mark Allen Eric Dube, aged 59, who had most recently been living in Campbell River.
Mr. Dube was employed on a dry-land timber sorting operation at Knox Bay on West Thurlow Island east of Campbell River when he was struck by a log shortly before 5 p.m. on April 8. He was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and WorkSafe BC are continuing to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Dube has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
