The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a single vehicle fire in Vancouver on May 25, 2013.

The man was Morgan McDonald, aged 27, from Vancouver.

Mr. McDonald was discovered in his vehicle after local residents noticed a fire in an alley off Victoria Drive.

Mr. McDonald, who reportedly had been sleeping in the vehicle, was the sole occupant and was confirmed deceased at the scene of the incident.

The BC Coroners Service and the Vancouver Police Department continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. McDonald has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
