The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a mountain biking incident in the North Shore mountains on June 10, 2013.
He is Jeffrey Fields, aged 38, from Boise, Idaho.
On the afternoon of June 10, passersby found Mr. Fields unresponsive beside his mountain bike on the Pipeline Trail on Mount Fromme, a well-known mountain biking destination. He was deceased at the scene.
The Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Fields has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
The BC Coroners Service expresses its condolences to the family and friends of Mr. Fields, and its thanks to the North Shore Search and Rescue team for their assistance with this case.
