The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in an all-terrain vehicle (ATV) crash near Boston Bar on June 15, 2013.

He is Caesar Manuel Soares, aged 63, from Hope.

Mr. Soares was driving an ATV on the Spuzzum Creek forestry road about 4.5 kilometres west of Highway 1 near Boston Bar in the late afternoon of June 15. On a steep downhill grade, something went wrong, and the ATV crashed. Mr. Soares was deceased at the scene. Two females who had been passengers on the ATV were injured and were taken to hospital.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Soares has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
