The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died in a motor vehicle incident in Salmon Arm on June 20, 2013.

She was Courtenay Brianne Eggen, aged 21, of Cherryville.

Ms. Eggen was the driver and sole occupant of a car, which collided with a parked dump truck in a parking lot off Auto Road SE in Salmon Arm, just before midnight on June 20. Ms. Eggen was deceased at the scene.

This incident continues to be investigated by the BC Coroners Service and the Independent Investigations Office whose mandate is to investigate deaths or serious injuries that are potentially police-related.

The family of Ms. Eggen has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
