The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as a result of a motor vehicle incident that occurred near Shawnigan Lake on July 18, 2013.

The man is Cory Allen Cobb, aged 50, from Duncan.

Mr. Cobb was the driver of a pickup truck that was involved in a collision with a commercial dump truck at the intersection of Trowsse Road and Mill Bay Road.

Emergency personnel attended the scene of the incident and transported Mr. Cobb to Victoria General Hospital where he was confirmed deceased upon arrival.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Cobb has been notified of his death. On behalf of the family, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
