The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died in a motorcycle crash near Ladysmith on July 19, 2013.

He is Jeffrey Alan Hainsworth, aged 36, from Nanaimo.

Mr. Hainsworth was riding his motorcycle southbound on Cedar Road near Ladysmith in the early morning hours of July 19 when he lost control of the bike and collided with a hydro pole. He was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Hainsworth has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
