The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a house fire in Prince George on July 22, 2013.

She is Shannon Parsons, aged 28, from Prince George.

In the morning hours of July 22, a fire broke out in Ms. Parsons' residence in Prince George. She was rescued from the fire by emergency services personnel and taken to the University Hospital of Northern BC, but died later the same day.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP are continuing to investigate this death. No evidence of foul play has been found.

The family of Ms. Parsons has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
