The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident in Prince George on Aug. 18, 2013.

He was Aaron Maurice Nickerson, aged 40, of Prince George.

Mr. Nickerson was the driver and sole occupant of a pickup truck which was involved in a single-vehicle incident about 2 a.m. on Aug. 18. Mr. Nickerson's vehicle left the road and ended up in a deep ditch. Mr. Nickerson was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Nickerson has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
