The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident near Burns Lake on Sept. 2, 2013.

He was Rodney Randolph Hoffman, aged 71, of Kamloops.

Mr. Hoffman was the driver and sole occupant of a vehicle, which was travelling eastbound on Highway 16 about 11:40 a.m. on Sept. 2, when it was in collision with a westbound motor home about 30 kilometres west of Burns Lake. Mr. Hoffman was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Hoffman has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
