The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died as the result of a motor vehicle incident near Nanaimo on Sept. 9, 2013.
He was Ryan James Jackson, aged 20, from Nanaimo.
Mr. Jackson was the driver and sole occupant of a car which collided with a motorhome on Highway 1 near the turnoff to the Duke Point ferry terminal shortly after 11 a.m. on Sept. 9. Mr. Jackson was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this incident.
The family of Mr. Jackson has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
