The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identities of three people who died after being involved in a motor vehicle incident west of Port Alberni on Sept. 8, 2013.

They were:

Carla Annette Diane Webster, aged 29, of Ahousaht

Arlene Marie Titian, aged 30, also of Ahousaht

Edward Patrick Paul John, aged 29, of Kyuquot.

The three were the occupants of a car westbound on Highway 4 about 45 kilometres west of Port Alberni in the late afternoon of Sept. 8 when the car left the roadway, entering a ditch. The car rolled and caught fire. The three died at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this incident.

The families of the three deceased have been notified of his death. On behalf of the family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
