The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a young boy who died in Campbell River on Sept. 15, 2013.

He was Brandon Terrell Davis Jacobson, aged three, from Campbell River.

Late in the evening of Sept. 15, Brandon became unconscious at his home. He was transported immediately to hospital by ambulance, but could not be resuscitated.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this incident.

Brandon's family has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
