The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died while working on a forestry operation north of Sayward on Oct. 21, 2013.
He was Darren James Wilson, aged 39, of Sayward.
Mr. Wilson was employed on a cedar salvaging operation in a remote area off the Eve River Main logging road north of Sayward when he sustained critical injuries late in the morning of Oct. 21. He died before he could be transported from the area to hospital.
The BC Coroners Service, RCMP and WorkSafe BC are continuing to investigate this death.
The family of Mr. Wilson has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
