The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died after being involved in a work-related motor vehicle incident in Duncan on Oct. 21, 2013.
She was Margreta (Maggie) Erin Feeley, aged 29, from Lake Cowichan.
Ms. Feeley was working as a traffic flagperson on a paving construction site in the 2500-block of Beverley Street in Duncan on the morning of Oct. 21, 2013, when she was struck by one of the vehicles involved in the construction work.
She was immediately taken by ambulance to Cowichan District Hospital and was then transferred to Victoria General Hospital where she died on the evening of Oct. 23.
The BC Coroners Service, WorkSafeBC and RCMP Traffic Services continue to investigate this incident.
The family of Ms. Feeley has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
