The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a woman who died following a motor vehicle incident near Burns Lake on Nov. 20, 2013.
She was Leigh St. Jean, aged 43, of Burns Lake.
Ms. St. Jean was the driver and sole occupant of an SUV, which was travelling eastbound on Highway 16 about 10:15 p.m. on Nov. 20, when it was in collision with a loaded tractor-trailer unit about four kilometres east of Burns Lake. Ms. St. John was deceased at the scene.
The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.
The family of Ms. St. Jean has been notified of her death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
