The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a man who died following a motor vehicle incident in Montrose, near Trail, on Nov. 30, 2013.

He was Bernard Harold Doherty, aged 52, of Montrose.

Mr. Doherty was a passenger in a car, which left the road and went down an embankment on Highway 3B in Montrose about 10 kilometres east of Trail, about 9 p.m. on Nov. 30. He was deceased at the scene.

The BC Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Doherty has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the BC Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
