The BC Coroners Service has confirmed the identity of a male who died following a motor vehicle incident near Fort St. John on Dec. 5, 2013.

He was Bryce Matthew Jones, aged 22, of Forest Grove, a small community near 100 Mile House.

Mr. Jones was the driver and sole occupant of a car which was involved in a multi-vehicle collision on Highway 97 N near Road 228 south of the village of Taylor about 11:40 a.m. on Dec. 5, 2013. Mr. Jones was transported to hospital in Fort St. John by ambulance, but was pronounced dead shortly after his arrival there.

The Coroners Service and RCMP continue to investigate this death.

The family of Mr. Jones has been notified of his death. On behalf of family members, the Coroners Service asks that the media respect their privacy at this difficult time.
