Premier Christy Clark has issued the following statement on Thanksgiving:

"In British Columbia, we have a lot to be thankful for. We live in one of the most beautiful places on Earth, in a tolerant, diverse, and prosperous society.

"Our focus remains on growing the economy, and creating more opportunities both now and in the future - so our children and grandchildren will have ever more to be thankful for.

"Thanksgiving is traditionally a time to help those less fortunate. To those who take time away from your families to volunteer or donate this long weekend - thank you.

"I wish all British Columbians a happy, healthy and safe Thanksgiving."
