Premier Christy Clark made the following statement commemorating Eid Al-Adha today:
"I would like to extend greetings for a joyous Eid Al-Adha to Muslims both in British Columbia and all over the world. Eid al-Adha is a time to reflect, forgive, and share time with your family over a special meal.
"Cultural diversity is one the greatest strengths of our province. The kindness, generosity, and goodwill displayed by the Muslim community not only during this holy occasion, but throughout the year, are an example for us all.
"To all those celebrating Eid Al-Adha, please accept my best wishes for a joyous celebration, and to those who participated in the holy pilgrimage of Hajj in Mecca, please accept my congratulations. "
