With the celebrations of the Christmas season just around the corner, the government of B.C. is reminding everyone to make safe transportation choices during the holiday season.

Although individuals may consider renting buses to transport groups to events over the holiday season, it is important to remind everyone that it is illegal to consume liquor in any public place, including a commercial vehicle such as a party bus. Individuals chartering a bus with the intent of using it as a party bus should be aware that they cannot have liquor on the bus.

Both passengers and drivers need to be aware of the importance of staying safe during the holiday season. ICBC just launched its annual December Counterattack program to once again remind drivers to plan ahead for a safe ride home if holiday celebrations involve alcohol.
