Artists and arts administrators have until Dec. 1, 2014, to apply to the BC Arts Council for project funding to support professional development or touring initiatives.
Professional development project assistance is designed to help creative writers, dancers, choreographers, visual and media arts professionals, musicians and composers, as well as theatre performers, designers, directors or technicians. Museologists and conservationists are also eligible to apply.
Grant funding is to assist with opportunities requiring travel or that involve specific learning activities to advance the participant’s practice or career.
The touring initiatives program supports activities outside the province that will lead to enhanced professional opportunities. Funding is provided for projects that are scheduled as part of significant national or international cultural events or that take advantage of market and audience development and touring opportunities.
